A short synopsis of myself and the purpose of this blog!

Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog! My name is Nick Garza and this post is just some background and info about myself as well as this blog.
I’m currently a senior at Johns Hopkins University majoring in both Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering. As far as hobbies go, I’ve always loved finding new places to eat and playing the violin. I have two weenie dogs at home that take up the majority of my free time. I’m originally from Texas, although I somehow managed to escape without any sort of accent or cowboy boots.

In creating this blog, I hope to capture a snapshot of my leadership journey since I’ve been in enrolled in the Leadership Theory course here at JHU. Leadership theory is a course that seeks to “explore the knowledge base and skills necessary to be an effective leader in a variety of settings”. Throughout this semester we have been exploring a variety of different leadership styles and philosophies both inside the classroom and in the real world. Needless to say I’ve learned a great deal about myself through the various projects and concepts introduced in the course and have much to share in a following post.
